Energetic Compression Balancing TM is an energetic approach to bodywork. This modality utilizes breathing, contact holds, rocking, stretching, deep site specific compressions and full body compressions to facilitate muscular and energetic releases. The practitioner is able to work with any client seeking a more balanced, centered and connected feeling. These releases bring a sense of wholeness to the client. The client may be fully clothed or draped and the work may be facilitated on a floor mat or table. This NCBTMB Approved CE Course provides the practitioner with the knowledge and skills needed to perform a 45-minute protocol.

Energetic Compression Balancing TM began simply as a way of closing my sessions by application of deep focused compressions. In my private practice I began to notice that the compressions I was using had a great impact on my clients and they responded with feedback. One client in particular, I will call her Jody, was instrumental in the further development of this technique. Jody was and remains a client who enjoys the process of bodywork. When asked her goals for her sessions, Jody simply states “do what you do, you always know what I need and where you need to go.” Her openness to the experience is wonderful and I am honored to work with her.

By focusing on the energetic points and techniques we will discuss in this course, together we will take a journey into the amazing world of holistic wellness through positive touch.

 Course Objectives
·          To identify the origins of the terms: Chi, Ki and Hara.
·          To explore and discuss Chi, Ki and Hara.
·          To discuss positive and negative energy as it flows and/or stagnates in the body and how this flow may be addressed.
·          To demonstrate techniques of breathing, contact, rocking, stretching and compression used to facilitate Energetic Compression Balancing TM.
·          To demonstrate body mechanics for an Energetic Compression Balancing TM   application.
·          To perform a 50-minute Energetic Compression Balancing TM protocol.

I began to develop Energetic Compression Balancing TM   when I was a student at the Baltimore School of Massage. Like many bodyworkers, I knew that very first day of class that I had found my place. My previous life experiences lead me to a place of amazement.

As an instructor of bodywork at the Baltimore School of Massage, I am honored to teach the CORE program to new students as well as Massage Variations, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Movement/Assessment/Re-patterning and Structural Bodywork. I opened Tranquili – Chi Massage & Wellness in 2005. The center focuses on holistic approaches to wellness and offers Acupuncture, Cpunseling, Bodywork and Massage. My experiences in the classroom and private practice are complimentary - the Yin and Yang of my life as a bodyworker.
