Phoenix Rising Group Facilitator, Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist.
Member of Yoga Alliance, and International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)
Anette has been practicing yoga since 1987, during which time she has developed a strong interest in the holistic healing power of Yoga. She believes strongly in the value of reconnecting with the self – be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual - in any healing process.
Anette’s purpose as a yoga therapist and yoga teacher is to meet people where they are, and through yoga therapy programs and one-on-one sessions, facilitate opportunities for individuals to develop the tools they need to enhance their quality of life.
Over the last 25 years, Anette has worked actively as an advocate for change related to societies response to people living with mental illness. Anette’s dual interests have led her to combine her knowledge from working on mental health issues and yoga philosophy and practice. Through Phoenix Rising Yoga therapy, Anette has found the core values from programs that combine ancient Yoga philosophy with modern psychotherapy.
Anette grew up in Norway, is married with three grownup children, and lives on a farm in Maryland.
