Self Care Isn't Selfish - February Newsletter

February at Tranquili-Chi

Keeping it slow in case of snow.

It was cold and blustery outside as I entered the Tranquili-Chi Center one day in January. Before my boots were off one of Dr. Rob’s clients expressed “Coming to the center is an experience, not just nice to look at, a spiritual experience” me….warm glow!!!! Gratitude!!!!!

Many would agree, the work that happens within our walls is from universal love, knowledge and open dialogue. It is difficult for many of us who are such givers to know what our limitations are. I saw a few of our numbers falter from working a little too much last month. Knowing our boundaries then creating the space to be in them isn’t easy for anyone. Being the Center’s Director I see how beautiful the dance is with the practitioner and the client. Our clients do amazing work when they are here, we love them so much, it isn’t easy to stop.

Winter months are for rest and restoring, how many of us succeeded in this?

Looking back at our January at the Center we had a great month. Thank you all who put such valiant efforts into creating January's magic! This photo has a small collection of the classes, meditations, moon gate, and our Lunar New Year Celebration.

Yes, we are an experience!
Thank you all for making Tranquili-Chi reality!
Yours in Health,
Cheryl

Amber

Recently I read in a book of crystals, written from a Chinese Medicine perspective, “With the ferocity and strength of the tiger, amber captures or chases away ghosts and evil spirits”. Sounds dramatic, more like a great antibiotic when it was pine resin, now fossilized, amber. Amber precious gem or wise ancient tree?

How have I worked with Amber in the past, you ask…..

Placed on the sacrum during Crystal and Usui Reiki sessions. Wearing when I feel down or unsettled. I knew a woman who every time she wore her butterscotch colored amber attracted the attention of people interested in a relationship. Amber has been applied for solutions during Feng Shui consultations; healing, warmth and ancestor help were all the calls it answered to.

Amber; Empowerment, cleansing.
Stability, nurturing, creativity and joy. Does this resonate with any of you Aquarians out there?

We have a small selection of Amber for you to select from at Tranquili-Chi Center. We look forward to seeing you there!

The ear is a microsystem of the entire body, meaning you can treat the whole body from the ear alone! Simply tugging on your ear can help reset your body to homeostasis.

Massaging or pressing on Ear Shen Men (the heart on the ear image above) is a Master Auricular point with numerous benefits – most notably, reduction of stress, anxiety, pain, and inner peace. It's definitely one my 'desert island points'!

During this season of Love, while focusing on your most important relationship –your relationship with youself – why not add a little extra oomph to your auricular acupressure routine? Bergamot essential oil is a perfect vibrational match to Ear Shen Men. You don't need much! Simply touching a clean toothpick to the oil top then touching Ear Shen Men is enough. (If you are sensitive to oils, please use a carrier oil.)

Bergamot Oil also connects to your Heart Chakra. You can add in some heart-centered affirmations if you'd like to hit the trifecta. Perhaps, 'I love who I am', 'My heart is open to love and forgiveness', or 'I give and receive love unconditionally'.

Even two minutes during the day for "me time" can help strengthen and solidify our connection to self.

With Heart, 💖
Lauren
