Managing Conflict: Courageous & Effective Conflict Resolution for Managers

Anne L. Hilb, MSOD , Liz London

$50

Workplace conflict is challenging in its own right but can be complicated for managers trying to juggle multiple responsibilities along with being a confident, thoughtful leader to their supervisees.

"Managing Conflict" is designed specifically for managers of one or more employees in any kind of workplace and will offer opportunities to reflect on participants' approaches to conflict and build skills in responding to conflict and difficult conversations with confidence.

Participants in the workshop will

  1. Explore their own approach to conflict and better understand how this affects their management style

  2. Be able to name their organization’s strategy for managing conflict and use this knowledge to engage in conflict with deeper awareness

  3. Practice specific tools to open, hold and engage in difficult conversations by learning how to move from positions to interests and needs.

"Managing Conflict" is led by Liz London and Anne Hilb. Liz and Anne are facilitators, mediators, organization development and restorative justice practitioners having both worked in the field of conflict resolution for more than a decade. Liz is the founder and lead trainer of Constructive Communities and Anne is the founder and lead consultant of Graymake, LLC. With a Masters of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University and a Masters of Science in Organization Development from The American University, respectively, they enter this work as true scholar-practitioners excited to partner with you.
